Hello! I’m Amy Clinton, I am an Integrative Health Coach on a mission to help others achieve physical and emotional balance by making sustainable shifts through health and wellness coaching. I have a background in strength, yoga and nutrition coaching. I am child of God, a wife, a mother, and, spoiler alert…..I love dark chocolate, I haven’t always loved to workout and I'm NOT always Zen! However, over the years, I have discovered tools to help me through the ebb and flow of life. As a health coach, I am able to incorporate all of my knowledge into one amazing experience.
I understand that stepping into a lifestyle change can be intimidating. There’s so much more to getting healthy than just putting in hours at the gym. How do we find the time to exercise? What type of exercise is right for you? What's the deal with meditation? How do we know what to eat and what NOT to eat for our preference and lifestyle? With all these concerns, the process can be daunting. I get it. I have been there too.
My personal story is full of the ups and downs of loss in spirituality, fad diets and sporadic, improper exercise. The mix of genetics and poor lifestyle choices left me with a decreased sense of self, stressed, weak and in pain both physically and mentally.
Along my journey towards whole health, I've made many mistakes. I spent years disconnected from my true self and ignoring warning signs. I damaged my body and spirit which ultimately lead me to developing Hashimoto's, Hypothyroid Disorder. However, throughout my healing journey, I've also made some amazing discoveries. Most importantly, I have found that there is no one size fits all when it comes to health and wellness. What works for me, may not work for you. Our bio-individual needs make the road to healing unique.
It is my hope that through your experience with personal coaching and exploration, you will find a new passion for nutrition that fuels and heals your body, movement that feeds your soul and discover more balance, more peace and more joy.
It is my privilege to be your guide as you walk the path toward a more balanced life through nutrition, mindful movement and spiritualness.
In my early 30's, I found myself searching for ways to find more balance. I decided to leave my career as a photographer and explore wellness opportunities. Over the next few years, I received certifications in yoga and Yoga Shred, children's yoga, nutrition and personal training and eagerly put my knowledge to use.
While searching for a way to incorporate all my experience into one, I came across IIN, The Institute of Integrated Nutrition. I fell in love with their definition of health and wellness and the focus of 'life nutrition' before 'food nutrition'. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, my purpose is to travel with you on your journey. I will be there to listen, to problem solve, to be your accountability partner, and to discover all the ways you can be your best and most amazing self!
